WAYNE, N.J. – Carson Weis '22, '23 MS was named the new assistant athletic trainer at William Paterson in August 2024.

Weis was a five-year standout performer for the baseball program and returns to WP after spending one year as the head athletic trainer at Pascack Hills High School.
He finished his playing career as a three-time All-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC), two-time American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Region and one-time D3baseball.com All-Region honoree. As a senior, he was named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Defensive Team. Additionally, he was a five-time Academic All-NJAC selection, a Chi Alpha Sigma inductee and a Dean's List student while serving as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Weis started 189 of 197 games played with a .338 batting average, .405 on-base percentage and .479 slugging percentage. He compiled 258 hits, 49 doubles, 13 home runs, 10 triples, 176 runs scored, 164 RBI, 52 walks and 17 stolen bases.
The River Vale, N.J., native finished first in program history in career at-bats (764), second in hit by pitches (43), third in hits, fifth in runs scored and RBI, sixth in doubles and tied for ninth in triples. He additionally ranked second in single-season hit by pitches (18), fifth in doubles (20) and 10th in at-bats (182).
During his time at WP, he also served as an athletic training student assistant and gained experience as an athletic training intern with the New York Giants, the New York City Football Club (NYCFC) and Bergen Catholic High School.
He received his bachelor's in athletic training from William Paterson in 2022 before earning his master's in sports administration in 2023. Weis is a certified athletic trainer licensed in New Jersey.
