WAYNE, N.J. – The top-seeded William Paterson volleyball team (20-9, 7-1 NJAC) will host fifth-seeded Rowan (16-13, 5-3 NJAC) Thursday, Nov. 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament semifinals at the Sports and Recreation Center.

TICKET AND PROMOTIONAL INFORMATION
- Ticket prices are $10.00 for adults; $5.00 for children and seniors.
- Free tickets will be granted to all William Paterson students who attend the match with a valid WP ID courtesy of student development.
- The first 50 WP students in attendance will receive a free hot dog.

WHAT'S AT STAKE
- The winner of the matchup between William Paterson and Rowan will advance to the championship Saturday, Nov. 16, to square off against the winner of No. 2 Montclair State and No. 3 Stockton with the time still to be determined. The highest remaining seed will host the championship game. The NJAC Tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

WP IN THE NJAC TOURNAMENT
- The Pioneers are making their 20th appearance in the NJAC Tournament and are seeking their fourth tournament title (1982, 1983, 1991).

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
- William Paterson finished the 2024 regular season with a 20-9 overall record and earned the NJAC Regular Season title after playing to a 7-1 mark in conference action. It's the first time since the 2009-10 campaigns that the Pioneers posted back-to-back 20-win seasons. The seven conference wins tied the program record and were the most since 1989.
- The Pioneers carry an eight-game winning streak into tournament play and are a flawless 12-0 at home this season.
- Graduate student outside hitter Hope Arce-Reed (New Carrollton, Md./College Park Academy) leads the team and ranks fourth in the conference in kills (339) and kills per set (3.36). Â
- Sophomore outside hitter Cecilia Miller (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) has totaled 339 kills while sitting fifth in the conference in kills (327) and kills per set (3.27).
- Sophomore setter Abby Houpt (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) has logged a team-high 883 assists with a 9.10 assists per set average.
- Senior libero Paola Molina (Hatillo, Puerto Rico/Colegio San Felipe) is the reigning NJAC Defensive Player of the Year and is the conference leader in digs (538) and digs per set (5.27). She broke the program's single-season digs record during a 3-0 home win against Rutgers-Newark Nov. 5 and is just the second Pioneer in program history to eclipse 500 digs in a season.
- Sophomore Sofia Zablackis (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) and freshman Makayda Aldrich (Robbinsdale, Minn./Brooklyn Center) have combined for 159 of the team's 219 total blocks this season.

SCOUTING THE PROFS
- Rowan finished 15-13 overall during the regular season with a 5-3 mark in conference play.
- The Profs advanced to the semifinals of the NJAC Tournament after defeating fourth-seeded Kean on the road in the quarterfinals, 3-1, Nov. 12.
- Junior outside hitter Jena Kaul paces the Profs' attack with 321 kills and a 3.24 kills per set average.
- Senior setter Brooke Adams is tied for second in the conference in assists (953) while ranking third in assists per set (9.25).
- Junior libero Vanessa Hutchinson is second in the NJAC in digs (482) and digs per set (4.68).

- William Paterson trekked to Glassboro, N.J., Oct. 8 and fell 3-0 to Rowan. Â
- Arce-Reed led the Pioneers with nine kills to pair with four blocks.
- Houpt dished out 22 assists and added five digs and three blocks.
- Molina recorded a team-high 15 digs.
