Women's Volleyball Cruises to 3-0 Win Over Ramapo

MAHWAH, N.J. – the William Paterson volleyball team (16-9, 6-1 NJAC) cruised to a 3-0 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) victory on the road against Ramapo (3-16, 1-6 NJAC) on Oct. 29.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Up 16-4 in the first set, the Pioneers went on a nine-point rally, highlighted by crucial kills from Cecilia Miller (Virginia Beach, Va./First Colonial) and Kristian Glenn (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay), to win 25-4.
  • With the score tied 14-14 in the second set, WP surged ahead with kills from Hope Arce-Reed (New Carrollton, Md./College Park Academy) and a pair of service aces to secure a 25-14 set win.
  • After establishing a commanding 7-1 lead in the third set, the Pioneers maintained their advantage throughout. Glenn delivered the decisive kill to secure a 25-8 set victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Glenn delivered 10 kills.
  • Miller recorded nine kills, four service aces, and eight digs.
  • Arce-Reed made eight kills.
  • Houpt dished out 30 assists.
  • Paola Molina (Hatillo, Puerto Rico/Colegio San Felipe) tallied five digs.
