WAYNE, N.J.- The William Paterson men's basketball team (11-11, 8-9 NJAC) fell at home on Senior Day, 72-65, against The College of New Jersey (9-12, 6-11 NJAC) Feb. 12.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• A jumper from junior forward Yvens Monfleury (Newark, N.J./American History) gave WP a 13-10 lead at the 10:56 mark of the first half.
• A late first half run gave the Lions a 30-23 lead with 44 seconds left.
• The following possession, freshman guard Neftali hit a deep three with 29 seconds remaining.
• Late in the second half, TCNJ held a 59-49 advantage.
• A corner three from freshman forward Caesar Silvestro (Ridgewood, N.J,/Pascack Hills) cut the deficit, making it a 66-61 game with 54 seconds left in the game.
• The Lions went 6-for-7 (.857) on free throws in the final minute.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Graduate student guard Domenic Mignone (Rutherford, N.J./Rutherford) led WP with 14 points and six rebounds.
• Monfleury added 11 points and four rebounds.
