WAYNE, N.J.- The William Paterson men's basketball team (12-11, 9-9 NJAC) recorded an 84-76, road win at Kean (14-9, 8-9 NJAC) in the regular season finale on Feb. 16.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Kean held a 20-15 lead at the halfway point of the first half.
• A made jumper from junior forward Michael Gilmore (Teaneck, N.J./Pine Forge Academy) gave WP a 32-31 advantage with 2:10 left in th half.
• The Pioneers began the second half on a 12-4 run, as they held a 50-42 lead at the 16:34 mark. 
• The Cougars trailed by just one (54-53), with 12 minutes remaining.
• A three-pointer from graduate student guard Domenic Mignone (Rutherford, N.J./Rutherford) gave WP an eight point lead (72-64) with 5:14 left to play
• The Pioneers went 8-for-8 (.1000) on free throws in the final three minutes.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Mignone finished with a team-high 16 points and six assists.
• Freshman forward Caesar Silvestro (Ridgewood, N.J,/Pascack Hills) scored a career-high 13 points and grabbed five boards.
• Graduate student guard Brian Monaghan (Florham Park, N.J./Morristown-Beard) and junior forward Yvens Monfleury (Newark, N.J./American History) each added 12 points.

• The #5 seeded Pioneers' will travel to #4 Montclair State on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 5:00 p.m.
