Volleyball Sweeps Tri-Match at Home

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (6-10) posted a pair of 3-0 sweeps over Mount Saint Vincent (2-6) and FDU-Florham (3-8) on Oct. 1 at the Sports and Recreation Center.
 
MATCH ONE
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • WP reeled off victories of 25-7, 25-16 and 25-12 to put away Mount Saint Vincent.
  • The Pioneers outscored CMSV 28-16 in kills and 16-2 in aces.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Freshman Abigail Herring (Appleton, Wis./Appleton West) recorded a career-high 11 kills.
  • Junior Paola Molina (Hatillo, Puerto Rico/Colegio San Felipe) posted 10 digs and a career-high four aces.
  • Freshman Ava Padwelka (Flanders, N.J./Mount Olive) had a team-high 10 assists.
  • Freshman Erica Bickart (Tucson, Ariz./Marana) tallied 4 blocks against CMSV.
MATCH TWO
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Pioneers blanked FDU-Florham in three sets, 25-6, 25-17 and 25-10.
  • WP outplayed the Devils 37-11 in kills, 16-2 in aces, 37-9 in assists and 52-37 in digs.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Herring posted a team-high 10 kills.
  • Freshman Alexa Jarvis (Lake Mary, Fla./Lake Mary) tallied 18 assists and Freshman Alyssa Roccuzzo (Garrison, N.Y./Walter Panas) added 13 assists with a career-high five aces.
  • Molina recorded 17 digs against the Devils.
