EWING, N.J.- The William Paterson men's basketball team (8-6, 5-4 NJAC) suffered a 70-63 road loss at The College of New Jersey (6-5, 3-6 NJAC) on Jan 15.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• TCNJ jumped out to a 19-8 lead at the 11:29 mark of the first half.
• WP cut down the deficit, as the first half ended with the Lions in front 30-26.
• A made three pointer from graduate student guard Domenic Mignone (Rutherford, N.J./Rutherford) tied the game at 34-34 with 15:21 left to play.
• TCNJ went on a 23-6 run and lead 57-41 with 6:57 left in the fourth.
• The Pioneers' mounted a strong comeback, as they only trailed 65-59 with 1:33 remaining.
• The Lions went 5-for-6 on late free throws to secure the win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Mignone led WP with 19 points, to go along with four rebounds and four steals.
• Graduate student guard Brian Monaghan (Florham Park, N.J./Morristown-Beard) added 11 points.
