WAYNE, N.J.– The William Paterson volleyball team (7-5, 1-2 NJAC) earned its first conference win of the season on Thursday, Sept. 23, downing Ramapo (1-6, 0-3 NJAC) in three sets.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

•  The Pioneers secured set wins of 25-14, 29-27 and 25-13 to take care of the Roadrunners. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Senior outside hitter Dakota Apicella (Kendall Park, N.J./South Brunswick) had 18 kills and 20 digs.
• Senior setter Kristin Volavka (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) dished out 36 assists, her second-highest assist count of her career.
• Senior outside hitter Kyla Sebello (Jersey City, N.J./Dickinson) added 14 digs and two assists.
