WAYNE,NJ- The William Paterson volleyball team (3-4, 0-1 NJAC) fell in three sets to the visiting Rowan Profs (6-2, 1-0 NJAC) Sept. 14 in the first conference match of the year. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Profs secured set wins of 25-20, 25-20 and 25-19 against the Pioneers.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

• Junior middle hitter Kathleen Burrough (North Burlington, N.J./North Burlington) registered a career-high three blocks in the match, while also adding 10 kills and 11 digs.
• Senior outside hitter Dakota Apicella (Kendall Park, N.J./South Brunswick) led WP in kills for a fifth straight match with 14.
• Senior setter Kristin Volavka (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) tallied 28 assists.
