WP Athletics 2021 Senior Salutes

WP Athletics would like to honor the efforts, dedication and accomplishments of our 44 senior student-athletes and senior student athletic trainers who make up the Class of 2021. Each one is a tremendous example of what it means to be a Pioneer.

77149 — May grad Vanessa wants to work with kids and improve their social skills and mental health. She will miss playing with #WPUSB and the friendships she made, and says WP taught her how to work hard, manage her time and communicate well with others #WPSeniorSalute

77115 — Bradley graduates in May and plans to work in public health. His favorite memories are from his time with #WPUMSWIM, especially the training trips, and appreciates Coach Gurka's mentorship. WP helped prepare him for the future via its coursework and study skills #WPSeniorSalute

77139 — Morgan wants to work as a high school athletic trainer after graduating in May. She says WP prepared her for the future by giving her all of the skills needed to be successful, and she'll miss her teammates, coaches, and classmates #WPUATR #WPUWS #WPSeniorSalute

77103 — John hopes to get a post production or social media marketing position after graduating in May. He will miss most the people at WP because everyone has been so approachable and friendly, making his days here so much better #WPSeniorSalute #WPUMSWIM

77129 — Joey graduates in May after being a four-year member of #WPUMSWIM and earning induction into Chi Alpha Sigma #WPSeniorSalute

77120 — Dani plans to teach first grade after graduating in May. WP taught her responsibility and how to be part of a team, and she will most miss her teammates, coaches and playing college soccer #WPUWS #WPSeniorSalute

77123 — Frankie's goal is to open his own business in the auto-repair industry. A May graduate, he will miss his #WPUBASE teammates and coaches, who all helped each other every day to better themselves as athletes #WPSeniorSalute

77126 — Jack plans to take the CPA exam and start working after graduating in May. His favorite memories came from being on the field, competing with his friends/teammates to win games. He will miss the fun and great times playing for #WPUBASE #WPSeniorSalute

77122 — August grad Francis plans to get into real estate, and later wants build a facility for underprivileged kids, allowing them to chase their dreams of playing college baseball. He says WP helped him network and gain insight on his proper path #WPUBASE #WPSeniorSalute

77144 — Steven plans to get a master's in applied business analytics and work as a quantitative analyst or data engineer for a corporation or pro sports team. He says WP taught him attack challenges head on and to stay positive while enjoying the process #WPUBASE #WPSeniorSalute

77132 — Kamal says every struggle he's had created progress that led to growth and strength. He will work as a youth development coach for NYRB after graduating in August, and someday wants to earn a master's in analytics performance and work in the MLS/World Cup #WPUMS #WPSeniorSalute

77136 — Matt says WP taught him how to handle adversity on and off the #WPUBASE field, and pushed him to be the best possible version of himself. He plans to teach history and coach on the high school level after graduating in August #WPSeniorSalute

77740 — May grad Donovan plans to start working ASAP in the athletic training field. WP helped him build connections in order to succeed academically, and his favorite memories came from working with all the athletes here on campus #WPUATR #WPSeniorSalute

77104 — May graduate Kristin plans to return this fall to pursue a master's and finish her #WPUFH career. Her favorite memory was winning the NJAC title, and she plans to pursue a career as an equipment manager/game day operations manager #WPSeniorSalute

77118 — Chris graduates in May and hopes to pursue a law enforcement career in the near future. He's thankful for all of the amazing memories William Paterson Athletics helped him create the past four years #WPUMS #WPSeniorSalute

77769 — May grad Jack wants to attend graduate school before working at a local high school. His favorite memory was interning with NYCFC last spring and working with their athletes, and he'll miss all of his WP friends and the athletic training program's faculty #WPUATR #WPSeniorSalute

77121 — Dylan was a first-team all-NJAC honoree this spring for #WPUBASE, hitting .343 with six homers while throwing out 13 potential base stealers #WPSeniorSalute

77741 — Sarena plans to get a master's in management and then become a high school athletic trainer after graduating in May. She says WP prepared her by providing excellent clinical experience, and she will miss all of her preceptors from WP #WPUATR #WPSeniorSalute

77768 — Erica will finish her BA this May and an MA in public policy next year at WP. She will always remember advancing to the ECAC semifinals on PKs, and will miss the supportive environment and lifelong friends she's made as a Pioneer #WPUWS #WPSeniorSalute

77147 — Graduating this May, Tim plans to teach physical education and coach. He will miss seeing the friends he made throughout college #WPUGOLF #WPSeniorSalute

77140 — Raul plans to work in a financial institution with the goal to becoming a financial advisor after graduating in May. He will miss ping Pong games at the Rec, and says WP taught him to get out of his comfort zone and be adaptable #WPUMSWIM #WPSeniorSalute

77116 — May graduate Caitlyn says WP challenged her in the best way possible and held her to standards that will forever benefit her in the future. She starts her post-graduate career this summer at The Ballpark sports facility #WPUSB #WPSeniorSalute

77095 — May graduate Carly plans to go to chiropractic school and eventually open her own practice, treating humans and animals. She will most miss being part of a team, the support of her #WPUSB coaches and teammates, and her professors #WPSeniorSalute

77742 — Brittany says WP helped her find her identity and be more confident in herself. She wants to attend a physical therapy program after graduating in May, and she will miss the community she gained at WP #WPUATR #WPSeniorSalute

77743 — May grad Sarah plans to work full time with a sports medicine doctor before attending physician assistant school. She'll always remember swimming's training trips, and says WP helped her become more confident in her own #WPUATR skills #WPSeniorSalute

77114 — CaptionMay grad Armando wants to become a bilingual high school history teacher and varsity baseball coach. He says student teaching, working and playing baseball, all while dealing with COVID-19, helped him learn to handle adversity and manage his time #WPUBASE #WPSeniorSalute

77145 — Sydney graduates in January and plans to teach and write/illustrate children's books. WP prepared her for the future with its highly-competitive environment for both athletics and academics. She'll miss her teammates and representing #WPUSB #WPSeniorSalute

77127 — Jason plans to work in marketing and sales after graduating in May. He says WP taught him how to manage time effectively, and he will miss all the friendships and connections he made as a Pioneer #WPUBASE #WPSeniorSalute

77148 — Valentine graduates in January and was an honorable-mention all-conference designee in the 400 medley relay during his four seasons with #WPUMSWIM #WPSeniorSalute

77133 — Kevin says his experiences on and off the WP campus were filled with professors, coaches, faculty and classmates who helped him realize his potential and pushed him to achieve. The May grad is pursuing a communications job, possibly in the sports market #WPUMS #WPSeniorSalute

77125 — Gabriel would like to coach college soccer after graduating in May. He says WP taught him to be more confident and outgoing, and to work hard for what he wants. He will miss spending time with his #WPUMS teammates, both on and off the field #WPSeniorSalute

77128 — August grad Jason wants to work in an MLB front office or coach. His favorite memories are playing for #WPUBASE, competing with friends/teammates and being a part of the success. WP taught him to be the best possible version of himself and enjoy every moment #WPSeniorSalute

77131 — May graduate Jordan tallied four career assists during 63 career appearances for #WPUMS, and was a Dean's List student every semester and a Chi Alpha Sigma inductee #WPSeniorSalute

77130 — Jonathan was a Mets individual qualifier in the 200 fly during his four seasons with #WPUMSWIM #WPSeniorSalute

77134 — Kyle has made 12 career appearances on the mound for #WPUBASE, registering a 3-1 record and 25 strikeouts during 30 innings pitched #WPSeniorSalute

77117 — An honorable-mention all-NJAC pick for #WPUBASE this spring, Carson graduates in May and is hitting .307 during 108 career appearances #WPSeniorSalute

77113 — Joseph says WP gave him the tools to succeed as a #WPUATR major, and says his many mentors will continue to guide him to success. A May grad, he plans to work as an athletic trainer in a doctor's office or PT clinic and pursue a doctorate in physical therapy #WPSeniorSalute
