NJAC Tournament Championship Bracket
PITMAN, N.J. – Sixth-seeded William Paterson (2-6, 2-6 NJAC) will travel to third-seeded New Jersey City (6-2, 6-2 NJAC) for quarterfinals of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Basketball Tournament Friday, March 5, at 5:00 p.m.

WHAT'S ON THE LINE:
	- The winner of the WP/NJCU contest will advance to the semifinals Friday, March 12.
WP IN THE NJAC TOURNAMENT:
	- The Pioneers are making their 28th NJAC Tournament appearance (1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021), 17 of the last 18 years.
- WP has won three NJAC titles (1993, 2011, 2012), and last reached the championship game in 2014.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS:
	- Sophomore guard Brianna Smith (Hillsdale, N.J./Pascack Valley) paces WP with 11.9 points per game, while junior guard Brianna Brooks (Saddle Brook, N.J./Saddle Brook) is contributing 10.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest.
- Junior forward Justina Cabezas (Carlstadt, N.J./Becton Regional) rates fifth in the NJAC with 9.0 rebounds per outing.
- Sophomore guard Yakira Rosa (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) runs the offense and is averaging 9.8 points and a team-best 2.8 assists per game.
SCOUTING THE GOTHIC KNIGHTS:
	- NJCU's primary scorer is freshman Damaris Rodriguez, who averages a team-best 16.3 points per game
- Senior Dayjah Anderson enters the tournament averaging 14.4 tallies per contest, while Nahjeemah Holmes and Zianna Goda round out the double-digit scorers with 12.2 and 10.0 points per games, respectively.
- Defensively, NJCU is giving up a league-low 53.3 points per game, and holds the top turnover margin in the NJAC at 5.63.
HEAD-TO-HEAD THIS SEASON:
	- The Gothic Knights swept the regular season series, claiming a 69-49 home win Feb. 19, and posted a 62-46 triumph at the Sports and Recreation Center Feb. 20.
