WAYNE, N.J.- The William Paterson women's basketball team (4-4, 4-1 NJAC) fell at home 80-64, to visiting Rowan (5-4, 4-1 NJAC), for its first New Jersey Athletic Conference loss of the season on Dec. 11.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Rowan jumped out to an early 21-13 lead at the end of the first quarter.
• The Pioneers' cut the deficit to 32-29 with 1:52 left to play in the half.
• The Profs outscored WP 42-33 in the second half.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Junior forward Qiana Vigo (Ewing, N.J./The Hill School) led the Pioneers' in scoring with 14 points, while adding five steals.
• Senior forward Justina Cabezas (Carlstadt, N.J./Becton Regional) finished with 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

UP NEXT:

• WP travels to play in the Hoops For Hounds Tournament in Williamsport, Pa. to face Lycoming College and Gwynedd Mercy College on Saturday, Dec. 29.
