Men’s Swimming & Diving Suffers a 124-75 Setback to Maritime

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson Men's swimming and diving team (1-3) suffered a 124-75 setback to Maritime (2-0) on Nov. 13.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Senior William Pike (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) earned a first-place finish in the 100 breast with a time of 1:14.62, as well as a second-place finish in the 500 free (6:20.58) and a fifth-place finish in the 1000 free (13:10.90).
  • Senior Thomas Haughey (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) finished first for the Pioneers in 500 free (6:10.83) while also touch the wall fourth in the 1000 free (12:54.20).
  • The 200-medley team consisting of Haughey, Sung Ni Wang Mukanda (Elizabeth, N.J./Elizabeth), Edgeryn Herrera (Blackwood, N.J./Highland Regional), and Anthony Newman (Lake Hiawatha, N.J./Parsippany) earned first-place points towards the Pioneer total.
