PITMAN, N.J. – Fifth-seeded William Paterson (11-14, 9-9 NJAC) will travel to fourth-seeded The College of New Jersey (15-10, 12-6 NJAC) for the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Basketball Tournament Saturday, Feb. 22, at 1:00 p.m.

WHAT'S ON THE LINE:
- The winner of the WP/TCNJ contest will advance to the semifinals Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 7:00 p.m. at top-seeded Rowan (22-3, 16-2 NJAC).
WP IN THE NJAC TOURNAMENT: Â
- The Pioneers are making their 27th NJAC Tournament appearance (1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020), 16 of the last 17 years.
- WP has won three NJAC titles (1993, 2011, 2012), and last reached the championship game in 2014.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS:
- Senior guard Alisa Giordano (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) paces the Pioneers with 11.9 points and 3.3 assists per contest.
- Freshman guard Madison Dulude (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) is contributing 10.9 tallies and 4.8 rebounds per game, while junior guard Brianna Brooks (Saddle Brook, N.J./Saddle Brook) averages 6.4 points and a team-high 5.3 rebounds per outing.
- Defensively, WP rates third in the conference with 11.4 steal per game, led by Giordano (2.73) and sophomore guard Danica DeFrank (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex) (1.96).

SCOUTING THE LIONS:
- TCNJ's offense runs through junior forward Shannon Devitt, who averages a double-double of 16.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
- Sophomore guard Rachel Gazzola enters the tournament averaging 13.6 tallies per contest, while senior forward Jen Byrne rounds out the double-digit scorers with 12.5 per game.
- Junior guard Elle Cimilluca currently rates second in the NJAC with 4.6 assists per contest. Â

HEAD-TO-HEAD THIS SEASON:
- The Pioneers and Lions split the season series with the home team winning both games. The College of New Jersey claimed a 55-45 victory on Jan. 15 and William Paterson posted a 56-43 triumph on Feb. 19.
