Men’s Basketball Drops Home Contest to Rowan, 101-61

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's basketball team (9-14, 5-11 NJAC) could not overcome its worst shooting performance of the season as the Pioneers fell at home to Rowan (12-11, 8-8 NJAC), 101-61, Feb. 12.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • After WP opened a 5-0 lead just minutes into the game, Rowan used a 17-2 run to build a 10-point lead, 17-7, with 12:08 left on the clock in the opening half. Twice the Pioneers would cut the deficit to five, but the Profs continued to knock down big shots and led 46-30 at the break.
  • The second stanza was dominated by the visitors as Rowan outscored WP 55-31 in the frame and cruised to the win, 101-61.
