Camryn Norman (Swedesboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional) registered a career-best seven aces, and senior outside hitter
Alyson Toman (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) led all players with nine kills as William Paterson volleyball (2-1) easily handled host Centenary (0-3), 25-7, 25-5, 25-13, Sept. 5.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Tied at 5-5 early in the first set, the Pioneers outscored the Cyclones 20-2 the rest of the way for an opening 25-7 victory. WP used a 16-0 run to the take the second set, 25-5, before closing out the sweep with a 25-13 triumph.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- William Paterson tallied 11 service aces, led by Norman's seven.
- Toman led the way with nine kills, while sophomore Jamie O'Shea (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) and freshman Alexa Houston (Tuckerton, N.J./Pinelands Regional) added six and four, respectively.
- Setter Kristin Volavka (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) continued her impressive sophomore campaign by collecting 23 assists to go along with six digs.
- The Pioneers forced the Cyclones into 40 errors while committing just 11.
- WP improves to 25-0 all-time against Centenary.
