BETHLEHEM, Pa. – William Paterson men's basketball (3-1) suffered its first loss of the season, 73-61, to host Moravian (3-2) Nov. 20.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• WP raced out to a 27-13 lead midway through the first half, but Moravian used a 14-0 burst to level the score with 5:12 remaining. The Pioneers answered with a 6-0 run of its own and held a 36-34 edge at the break.
• Following intermission, shooting struggles by the Pioneers allowed the Greyhounds to build a 14-point cushion (60-46, 6:30). WP got it to a 10-point game, 61-51, but would get no closer at Moravian came away with the win.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Junior guard Domenic Mignone (Rutherford, N.J./Rutherford) scored a team-best 14 points, and classmate Justin Lingat (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) added 11 tallies.
• The Pioneers connected on 86.4% (19-22) of their free throws as compared to just 42.1% (8-19) for the Greyhounds.

• WP makes its home debut Tuesday, Nov. 26, against New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) rival Montclair State at 8:00 p.m.
