YORK, Pa. – William Paterson women's basketball (1-2) dropped a non-conference contest to Kenyon College (2-1), 63-47, in the consolation round of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at York College, Nov. 16. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• With the Pioneers leading 16-13 at the 9:38 mark of the second quarter, the Ladies used a 15-0 run to go up by double-digits, and led 34-24 at the break. Kenyon outscored WP 16-7 in the third, and led by as many as 23 in the fourth, before closing out the 63-47 victory. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Senior Alisa Giordano (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) finished with a game-high 15 points, while junior Vianca Soriano (New Milford, N.J./New Milford) and sophomore Danica DeFrank (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex) each scored seven. 
• The Pioneers shot just 25.4% (15-59) from the field as compared to 41.2% (21-51) for Kenyon. 
• Following the championship game, Giordano was named to the all-tournament team.

• WP returns to the Keystone State Wednesday, Nov. 20, for a non-conference contest against Susquehanna beginning at 6:00 p.m.
