WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson volleyball (11-11, 2-6 NJAC) closed out New Jersey Athletic Conference play with a 3-0 defeat of visiting Ramapo (12-5, 3-5 NJAC) Oct. 29.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Holding onto a slim 10-8 edge in the opener, William Paterson used a 12-3 run to put away Ramapo, 25-14. Facing set point, the Pioneers got kills from senior Alyson Toman (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) and freshman Kayla Nelson (Clifton, N.J./Passaic County Technical Institute ), and forced Ramapo into four attacking errors, to come away with an exciting 27-25 victory. In the third, 9-1 run turned a 12-12 tie into a 21-13 lead as WP cruised to the sweep, 25-19.
