WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (8-3, 0-1 NJAC) outswam Bard (0-6), 94-65, while honoring seniors
Drew Macchia (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and
Ryan Achyuthuni (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) during the Senior Day meet Jan. 19.
TOP PERFORMERS:
- Junior Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) recorded a personal best time while touching first in the 200 free with a time of 1:56.54. The junior also took home the 500 free in 5:16.62.
- Senior Drew Macchia (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) tallied a victory in the 100 free with a time of 51.75.
- Sophomore Jonathan Vela (Prospect Park, N.J./Passaic County Tech) beat his opponents in the 100 fly by finishing the race in 1:02.11.
IN THE NUMBERS:
- Sophomore John Conlow (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) notched second place in the 200 IM in 2:28.94.
- Also notable, sophomore Joey Croce (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) placed third in the 100 back with a time of 1:08.82.
- Thomas Haughey (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) tallied a personal best time while taking third in the 1000 free. The sophomore completed the race in 12:16.09.
