WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (4-0) remained undefeated following a 3-0 sweep of Centenary University at the Sports and Recreation Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Alyson Toman (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) led the Pioneer attack by recording 13 kills and hitting a staggering .684. Chelliah Phillips (Bergenfield, N.J./Bergenfield) added nine kills, while Christine Griffith (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands Regional) finished with eight and a .667 hitting percentage.
• Jamie O'Shea (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) and Barbara Colizza (Hawthorne, N.J./Hawthorne) shared top honors in digs, adding eight defensive scoops apiece. Camryn Norman (Swedesboro, N.J./Kingsway Regional) compiled six digs and two kills in her first collegiate action.
• Kendall Caruso (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) finished with 23 assists in the first two sets, while Kristin Volavka (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) added 10 in the third stanza.
• WP's defense gave Centenary fits all evening, as the Cyclones hit -.038 with just 15 kills, while the Pioneers notched 42 kills and a .462 hitting percentage.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• WP leads the all-time series against Centenary 24-0
• The Pioneers begin the season 4-0 for the first time since 2015.
