WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (3-0) defeated non-conference foe Baruch College (0-5) in a 3-0 sweep at the Sports and Recreation Center

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• WP was led by Amanda Lembo (North Haledon, N.J./DePaul Catholic) with a match-high 12 kills, and Jamie O'Shea (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) and Alyson Toman (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) chipped in 10 and nine, respectively. Kendall Caruso (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) has recorded 30-plus assists in every game this season, registering 33 for the victors.
• Senior Christine Griffith (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands Regional) led five Pioneers in double-digit digs, totaling 19. Lembo tallied 13 defensive scoops, while Barbara Colizza (Hawthorne, N.J./Hawthorne) posted 12.
• Baruch's Anita Sangara amassed 15 kills, while Stella Chung recorded a double-double of 14 kills and 18 digs.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• The Pioneers have now taken three straight against the Bearcats.
• WP has now started a season 3-0 eight of the past nine years.
