Volleyball Registers 20th Win of Season with 3-0 Sweep at Lehman

Pioneers Paced by Toman’s 12 Kills

BRONX, N.Y. – William Paterson (20-4) cruised to its 20th volleyball victory of the season, winning in straight sets Oct. 20 at Lehman (4-17).
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Pioneers wasted no time, jumping out early on their way to an opening 25-7 win. WP took the second set, 27-10, and finished off the sweep with a 25-7 triumph.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • WP reached the 20-win plateau for the 14th time in program history, the most recent coming during the 2013 campaign (21-6).
  • Junior middle hitter/outside hitter Alyson Toman (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) led a balanced offensive attack with 12 kills, her 18th double-digit total of the season.
  • Senior setter Kendall Caruso (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) added three service aces to her 26 assists.
  • Senior outside hitter Amanda Lembo (North Haledon, N.J./DePaul Catholic) collected a team-best seven digs.

UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson finishes the conference regular season Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Ramapo at 7:00 p.m. The winner will secure the sixth and final seed for the upcoming New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament.
