THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – Senior outside hitter Amanda Lembo (North Haledon, N.J./DePaul Catholic) notched a double-double as the William Paterson volleyball team (19-4) posted its third win in the last four matches with a 25-11, 25-19, 25-27, 25-9 victory at Maritime (6-14) Oct. 18.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• WP hit .423 (13 kills, two errors, 26 attempts) for a quick first-set win, and after the two teams split a pair of closely-contested sets, the Pioneers ran away with the fourth behind a .565 hitting percentage (14 kills, one error, 23 attempts).

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Lembo notched 11 kills and a team-best 16 digs for her seventh double-double of the season.
• Junior middle hitter/outside hitter Alyson Toman (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) put down a team-high 17 kills, and senior middle hitter Chelliah Phillips (Bergenfield, N.J./Bergenfield) added 11 kills and seven total blocks (three solo, four assists).
• Senior setter Kendall Caruso (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) collected 46 assists and 10 digs for her fourth 40+ assist total of the season and the 10th of her career.
