HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (12-7) extended their current winning streak to three matches Tuesday evening when they took down Centenary (1-13) in straight sets in a non-conference road test.
Junior
Amanda Lembo (North Haledon, N.J./DePaul Catholic) led all attackers with eight kills while junior
Christine Griffith (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands Regional) added five kills, five aces, and 13 digs on a night where 13 Pioneers saw action.
William Paterson made quick work of the Cyclones in the match, seizing control in the opening set when they ran away with a 25-8 victory. The momentum continued into the second stanza as the Cyclones recorded just three points during the frame before the Pioneers wrapped up the victory with a 25-12 win in the third set.
The Pioneers return to New Jersey Athletic Conference play on Thursday, October 12 when they host the Red Hawks of Montclair State University inside the Recreation Center with the opening serve set for 7:00 p.m.
