WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (3-1) posted a 25-4, 25-11, 25-17 victory against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn (0-1) during its home opener Sept. 8.
Senior outside hitter
Erin Roach (Clark, N.J./Union County Vo-Tech) registered a double-double with team bests of 14 kills and 14 digs, while sophomore outside hitter
Amanda Lembo (North Haledon, N.J./DePaul Catholic) collected 11 kills and eight digs. Freshman outside/middle hitter
Alyson Toman (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) finished with 10 kills, sophomore outside hitter
Christine Griffith (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands Regional) had 11 digs and three service aces, and junior libero
Julianna Ginefra (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) posted five digs and three aces. Sophomore setter
Kendall Caruso (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) compiled 26 assists and nine digs over two sets played.
Sophomore middle/outside hitter Nina DiCioccio paced the Bears with five kills, adding seven digs. Freshman middle hitter Briana Marrazzo collected nine digs and freshman setter Alanna Palomino had 16 assists and six digs.
William Paterson will host Mount Saint Vincent Saturday, Sept. 10, at 11:00 a.m.
