PITMAN, N.J. – Fifth-seeded William Paterson (14-11, 10-8 NJAC) will play at fourth-seeded Kean (15-10, 10-8 NJAC) in the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Women's Basketball Tournament Saturday, Feb. 20, at 1:00 p.m. Live statistics and live audio will be available.
 
Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children, students and senior citizens. WP students with ID will be admitted for free.
 
The winner will advance to play at top-seeded Montclair State (19-6, 15-3 NJAC) Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the semifinal round. In the other first-round game Feb. 20, third-seeded Stockton (20-5, 14-4 NJAC) will host sixth-seeded Rutgers-Camden (15-9, 10-8 NJAC) at 2:00 p.m. The winner will play at second-seeded Rowan (21-4, 15-3 NJAC) Feb. 23 at 7:00 p.m. The highest remaining seed will host the championship game Friday, Feb. 26, at 7:00 p.m.
 
The Pioneers are coming off an 83-65 loss Feb. 17 at Rowan. Earlier this season, WP earned a 76-50 victory at Kean Jan. 6, and the Cougars collected a 72-66 win Feb. 10 in Wayne.
 
The Dec. 28 NJAC Player of the Week, senior 5-10 forward Alex Milne (Howell, N.J./Howell) is contributing a team-high 11.9 points and 9.0 rebounds (tied-sixth in league) per game. A second-team all-conference pick a year ago, senior 5-4 guard Brittany Harden (Millville, N.J./Sacred Heart) is contributing 10.8 tallies, 3.5 assists (seventh in NJAC) and 2.4 steals (seventh in conference) per contest. Sophomore 5-3 guard Jackie Rodriguez (Sayreville, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) is posting 10.1 points per game.
  
William Paterson has won three NJAC Tournament titles, including two of the last five (1993, 2011, 2012), and is making its 24th tourney appearance (1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016).
 
WP was 14-12 overall and 10-8 in conference play a year ago, reaching the first round of the NJAC Tournament.
