WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (9-7, 1-4 NJAC) suffered a 3-0 loss against Stockton (14-6, 3-1 NJAC) Oct. 4.
The Pioneers trailed 9-7 early in the first set, but the Ospreys ran off nine straight points en route to a 25-10 win. WP opened with four of the first five points of the second set before falling 25-16, and lost 25-16 during the third set.
Sophomore setter
Kendall Caruso (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) led the Pioneers with 14 assists and 11 digs, and sophomore middle hitter
Chelliah Phillips (Bergenfield, N.J./Bergenfield) collected five kills.
Freshman outside hitter Sarah Walsh paced the Ospreys with 14 kills, junior setter Jessica Ciandella dished 25 assists and senior defensive specialist Rebecka Zabilowicz posted 10 digs.
William Paterson will compete at Maritime Thursday, Oct. 6, at 7:00 p.m.
