NEW YORK – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (4-0) won all but one event as it cruised past Baruch (0-1), 107.5–92.5, Oct. 25.
Junior
Anthony Taboadela (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) posted three individual wins to lead WP, securing the 200-meter IM (2:19.88), 100-meter back (1:04.24) and the 100-meter breast (1:11.67).
Senior
Jeremy Oiler (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) claimed the 400-meter free (4:52.96) and 800-meter free (10:09.76), while sophomore
Drew Macchia (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) won the 100-meter free (59.37) and 50-meter free (26.25).
The Pioneers also had two single winners on the night. Senior
Nick Cowie (Newton, N.J./Newton) bested the competition in the 100-meter fly (1:05.16), and junior
Sammuel Melendez (West Haverstraw, N.Y./North Rockland) was victorious in the 200-meter free (2:14.13).
The team of Melendez, Cowie, Oiler and Macchia won the 200-meter free relay (1:47.14). The quartet was led by Cowie's relay-best time of 26.46.
William Paterson will travel to SUNY Cobleskill Saturday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m.
