WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (3-0) won its third straight meet with a 103-91 victory against FDU-Florham (0-3) Oct. 22.
Junior
Anthony Taboadela (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) set the pace for the Pioneers, winning the 200 IM (2:10.26), 500 free (5:17.81) and 100 breast (1:03.21).
Senior
Nick Cowie (Newton, N.J./Newton) registered two wins, touching first in the 100 fly (56.73) and 50 free (23.89), barely besting sophomore teammate
Drew Macchia's (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) time of 23.91.
In diving, freshman
Emmanuel Garcia (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) won both the one-meter required (115.60) and the one-meter optional (108.45) events.
Freshman
Grant Ashcraft (Penns Grove, N.J./Woodstown) added a victory in the 100 back (1:04.12)
Junior
Sammuel Melendez (West Haverstraw, N.Y./North Rockland), Cowie, senior
Jeremy Oiler (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) and Macchia combined to win the 200 freestyle relay (1:37.74). Melendez posted a relay-best time of 23.96.
William Paterson will travel to Baruch Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 6:00 p.m.
