SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – William Paterson sophomore tennis player
Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) was recognized by the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NJAIAW) as the winner of William Paterson's 2015 Outstanding Athlete Award. She has honored at New Jersey's 23rd-annual award luncheon in celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day Feb. 1 at Seton Hall University.
The 2013 and 2014 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Player of the Year, sophomore
Brittany LaBruna finished her 2014 fall season with a 16-1 mark at first singles, including a 6-0 mark in league play. She won the NJAIAW Tournament Flight A title Oct. 4-5 this past fall, and was a semifinalist at the U.S. Tennis Association (USTA)/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional. A member of the 2013 and 2014 NJAC All-Singles and All-Doubles Teams, LaBruna was an ITA all-American after winning the 2013 USTA/ITA Northeast Regional title.
