THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The William Paterson's men's swimming and diving team (2-1) fell to Maritime (1-0), 126-113, Oct. 29.
It came down to the last relay as the Pioneers were out-touched by 0:00.19, falling short of the victory.
The Pioneers were led by two double-winners in sophomore
Anthony Taboadela (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills),
who won the 100 back (55.49) and 100 breast (1:02.98), and senior
Gennaro Sirianni (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen),
who finished first in the one-meter (200.20) and three-meter (210.10) dives.
Senior
Eric Tracey (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) triumphed in the 100 free (51.28), and classmate
Nicolai Robinson (Matawan, N.J./Old Bridge) took first in the 500 free (5:30.11).
Junior
Nick Cowie (Newton, N.J./Newton) touched first in the 100 fly (56.28).
William Paterson will next compete against conference opponent Rowan Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 6:00 p.m. at Wightman Pool.
