MADISON, N.J. - The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (1-0) won its season opener, 110-80, at FDU-Florham (0-4) Oct.23.
The Pioneers were led by triple winner sophomore
Anthony Taboadela (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills), who captured first in the 200 free (1:53.14), 100 back (55.24) and 100 breast (1:03.54).
Junior
Nick Cowie (Newton, N.J./Newton) was a double winner, touching first in the 200 IM (2:14.04) and the 100 fly (55.47).
Freshman
Drew Macchia (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) finished second in the 50 free with his personal-best time of 23.12.
Junior
Jeremy Oiler (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) was victorious in the 1,000 free (11:30.58).
The Pioneers won the 200 free relay (1:36.69) with help from seniors
