WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (8-6) cruised past visiting Purchase (0-10) for a 25-12, 25-6, 25-7 victory Oct. 1.
 
Junior outside hitter Erin Roach (Clark, N.J./Union County Vo-Tech) nearly had a triple-double with match bests of nine kills, 12 digs and a career-best nine service aces. Freshman setter Kendall Caruso (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) contributed 29 assists and seven digs, and senior opposite hitter Nicole Spicer (Whiting, N.J./Manchester Twp.) collected nine digs. Senior middle hitter Issel Garcia (Ridgefield Park, N.J./Ridgefield Park) put down six kills and senior outside/opposite hitter Michelle Guzman (Paterson, N.J./Mary Help of Christians) served four aces.
 
Junior Alex Lally had four kills, three assists and 10 digs to lead the Panthers.

William Paterson will host York (N.Y.) at 11:00 a.m. and Mount Saint Mary at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3.
