Game Notes (PDF) Tournament Information Page WAYNE, N.J. – Sixth-seeded William Paterson (13-19-1, 7-10-1 NJAC) will play at top-seeded Rutgers-Camden (26-9-1, 14-4 NJAC) in the first round of the double-elimination New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Baseball Tournament Tuesday, April 29, at 3:30 p.m.
The winner will face the loser of the April 29 game between No. 4 Kean (28-10, 12-6 NJAC) and No. 3 Montclair State (20-15, 13-5 NJAC) on Thursday, May 1, at 3:30 p.m. The WP/RUC loser will play the loser of Tuesday's No. 2 Rowan (28-8, 13-5 NJAC) vs. No. 5 The College of New Jersey (19-16, 8-10 NJAC) game May 1 at 3:30 p.m.
The highest remaining seed that is able to host will host the remainder of the tournament Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4.
The Pioneers are coming off an 8-5, 5-3 sweep of Rutgers-Newark (13-24, 6-12 NJAC) April 26. Earlier this season, William Paterson lost to Rutgers-Camden, 2-0 and 5-1, April 12 in Wayne.

Trevor Haughney (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) leads WP with a .388 batting average (third in league), 25 RBI, .483 slugging percentage (eighth in conference) and .466 on-base percentage (third in NJAC), adding 17 runs scored, seven doubles and two triples. Senior infielder
Rob Pasternak (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield), a third-team all-state honoree, is hitting .291 with 20 runs scored and seven sacrifice hits (tied-fourth in league) with a team-best three triples. Sophomore shortstop
K.C. Abel (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) owns a .288 average, 19 RBI and team-high eight doubles.
Senior
Anthony DeEsposito (Ridgefield, N.J./Ridgefield Memorial) is 3-1 with a 2.67 earned-run average and a save, starting five of seven appearances and striking out 22 in 33.2 innings. Classmate
Josh Jensen (West Milford, N.J./West Milford), a two-time all-state pick, is 1-2 with a 3.25 ERA, starting seven times in eight appearances and registering 32 strikeouts in 44.1 innings. Sophomore
Frankie Colasante (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) has posted a 1-3 record, 3.83 ERA and two saves, starting six times in 14 appearances and striking out 18 hitters in 42.1 innings.
A year ago, William Paterson lost its first two games in the NJAC Tournament. The Pioneers have won 12 NJAC Tournament titles (1982, 1983, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997).
