WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (9-1) outlasted Division II Adelphi (2-1), beating the Panthers 128-103 in a very competitive and exciting meet Dec. 13.
The Pioneers were sparked by freshman double winner
Kyle Risley (Mays Landing, N.J./Mays Landing), who took first in both the 50 free (22.15) and the 100 fly (53.70).
Junior
Gennaro Sirianni (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen) aided the Pioneers with victories in both the one-meter (209.03) and the three-meter (194.63) dives.
Freshman
Anthony Taboadela (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) touched first in the 100 back (56.25) and junior
Donado Dervishi (Garfield, N.J./Garfield) was the first to finish the 100 breast (1:01.10).

Eric Tracey (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) came together to swim the second-fastest 200 medley relay in school history, swimming it in a blazing 1:39.10.
The Pioneers will head to San Juan, Puerto Rico, Jan. 2, for their winter training trip.
