WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (2-0), aided by three double winners, defeated FDU-Florham (0-4) by a 111-76 score Oct. 25.
Freshman
Anthony Taboadela (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) was a double winner as he won the 200 (1:56.02) and 500 (5:18.40) frees. Fellow freshman
Kyle Risley (Mays Landing, N.J./Mays Landing) also claimed two victories in the 50 free (23.19) and the 100 fly (56.30).
Sophomore
Kenny Kneitel (Paramus, N.J./Paramus), in his first time competing on the board, won both the one-meter (130.35) and the three-meter (115.80) dives.
Junior
Eric Tracey (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) placed first in the 100 free (52.67) and was out-touched by teammate Risley in the 50 free by .01 second.
Sophomore
Jeremy Oiler (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) won the 1,000 free (11:22.73), and classmate
Nick Cowie (Newton, N.J./Newton) triumphed in the 200 IM (56.30).
Senior
Evan Marine (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Twp) touched first in the 100 back (1:01.42), while junior
Donado Dervishi (Garfield, N.J./Garfield) took first in the 100 breast (1:07.28).
The Pioneers are back in the pool Thursday, Oct. 30, when they host Maritime at 6:00 p.m.
