MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (16-8, 2-5 NJAC) was upended at Montclair State (20-7, 4-3 NJAC), 25-20, 25-19, 25-17, Oct. 21.
Junior outside hitter/opposite hitter
Nicole Spicer (Whiting, N.J./Manchester Twp.) had seven kills and 20 digs, while senior middle hitter
Shauna VanDeRee (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick) finished with seven kills. Senior setter
Danielle Koukos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) posted 23 assists, senior outside hitter
Daniella Salemo (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) contributed six kills and 17 digs, and junior outside hitter
Michelle Merida (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany) finished with 12 digs.
Courtney Matlock led the Red Hawks with 11 kills, Angela Campo dished 33 assists and Lily Scanzillo finished with 20 digs.
William Paterson will play in a tri-match Saturday, Oct. 25, facing Old Westbury at 12:00 p.m. and host U.S. Merchant Marine at 2:00 p.m.
