WILKES-BARRE, PA. – The William Paterson volleyball team (16-7) dropped a pair of 3-0 contests against Cabrini (18-5) and host Wilkes (10-12) Oct. 18.
The Pioneers fell to the Cavaliers in the opening match, 25-11-, 25-21, 25-9. Sophomore outside hitter
Erin Roach (Clark, N.J./Union County Vo-Tech) finished with four kills and 10 digs, senior outside hitter
Daniella Salemo (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) had four kills and six digs, and senior setter
Alaina Clark (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) contributed 10 assists.
Amy Guarino led Cabrini with 11 kills, Kelly Guarino posted 17 digs and Cassidy Koenig dished 24 assists.
WP dropped a 25-18, 25-23, 25-9 decision to the Colonels in the night cap. Senior middle hitter
Shauna VanDeRee (Waldwick, N.J./Waldwick) paced the Pioneers with eight kills, senior setter
Danielle Koukos (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) tallied 13 assists, Roach contributed 13 digs and Salemo had 12 digs.
Ally Paskas led Wilkes with nine kills, adding 14 digs, while Alexis Morgan finished with 21 assists and Erin Northstein had 18 digs.
William Paterson will play at Montclair State Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 7:00 p.m.
