WAYNE, N.J. – Four Pioneers were double winners as the William Paterson tennis team (5-4) breezed past Baruch (5-7), 8-1, Oct. 16.
 
Sophomore all-American Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) earned a 6-4, 6-2 first-singles victory against Allie Jackson-Hing, and senior Jessica Daniels (Edison, N.J./Edison) was a 6-2, 6-3 winner against Hayley Bester at second singles. Senior Kristy Daubert (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) posted a 6-4, 6-1 third-singles victory over Diana Federkova, and junior Summer Bernales (Jersey City, N.J./Dickinson) had a 6-0, 6-2 win at fifth singles against Cristina Aculova.
 
LaBruna and Daubert defeated Jackson-Hing and Bester at first doubles, 8-3, and Daniels and Bernales were 9-8 (7-3) winners at second doubles against Federkova and Helen Lee.
 
WP received wins by forfeit at sixth singles and third doubles.
 
William Paterson will celebrate Senior Day Monday, Oct. 20, against Purchase at 4:30 p.m.
