Prior to William Paterson: Advanced to the GMC Tournament quarterfinals and the State Tournament as a senior at Edison H.S., posting a 9-11 record at third singles … Was Co-MVP at first doubles as a junior as her team reached the second round of the State Tournament … A four-year letterwinner and also a team captain in track and field, competing in the long jump, javelin and discus … Also competed in basketball, serving as a team captain and winning the Frank A. Redd Award (leadership, loyalty and dedication) … Basketball team won Red Division and Group 4 Sectional titles … A member of the National and Spanish Honor Societies.
