Box Score CAMDEN, N.J. – The William Paterson women's basketball team (9-7, 6-3 NJAC) went on a 21-4 run to start the game and never looked back on its way to an 88-59 victory at Rutgers-Camden (3-10, 0-9 NJAC) Jan. 18.
The Pioneers controlled the game from the beginning, shooting 51.4 (18-35) percent from the floor and 85.7 (6-7) percent from behind the arc in the first half to take a 48-21 lead into halftime. WP led by as many as 34 points in the second half.
Senior guard
Kristine Jackiewicz (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) led William Paterson with 18 points, including 11 in the second half, and seven rebounds. Senior guard
Floriana Borova (Cresskill, N.J./Cresskill) contributed 16 points, six assists and six steals, while senior forward
Dana Jeter (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) added 14 tallies and three boards. Sophomore guard
Brittany Harden (Millville, N.J./Sacred Heart) recorded 10 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals. Twelve players saw action for the Pioneers and 10 of them got into the scoring column.
Alex Gravinese led all scorers with 20 points, adding four boards. Falecia Galindez contributed 13 tallies for the Scarlet Raptors.
William Paterson will host The College of New Jersey on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 6:00 p.m.
