Box Score WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson field hockey team (4-4, 0-1 NJAC) suffered a 2-1, overtime loss to Wesley (4-4) Sept. 21.
The Wolverines got on the board in the 33rd minute, when Kirsten Ward scored on a shot from the left side of the cage to give Wesley a 1-0 lead.
At the 37:42 mark, junior midfielder
Courtnaey Chelf (Blackwood, N.J./Triton Regional) connected on a penalty stroke to tie the game for the Pioneers.
In overtime, Brittany Blacksten blasted a shot from just inside the circle that went off the goalie's pads and into the cage at the 70:49 mark to give Wesley a 2-1 win.

Kellye Statz (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville) made one save for WP. Sarah Daniels stopped eight shots for Wesley.
William Paterson will travel to Montclair State Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 7:00 p.m.
