WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson's Ed Gurka earned his 300th victory with the men's swimming & diving team (2-3), as the Pioneers defeated visiting Maritime (4-2), 133-107, Dec. 4.

The Pioneers had three double winners. Sophomore Donado Dervishi (Garfield, N.J./Garfield) posted a winning time in the 200 IM (2:08.89) and the 100 breast (1:02.73). Senior Sebastian Schrils (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) placed first in the 50 free (22.69) and the 100 fly (55.09). Junior Jeffrey Jaeckel (Kenilworth, N.J./David Brearley) won the one-meter (234.62) and three-meter (225.30) dives.

Sophomore Evan Marine (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Twp.) touched first in the 100 back (1:00.06), and the 200 medley relay team of Dervishi, Marine, Schrils and freshman Eric Tracey (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) posted a season-best time of 1:44.26

William Paterson will face FDU-Florham on Wednesday, Dec.5, at 6 p.m.
