GAME ONE
Ahead 6-4 heading into the top of the seventh, the Pioneers could not hold off Anderson in William Paterson's first game of the day.
The Ravens scored a single run during their first at-bat, but WP answered with a
Jenna Vitale (Kenilworth, N.J./David Brearley) two-run single during the home half of the inning. The Pioneers tacked on three more in the second, two of them crossing the plate thanks to Anderson errors, for a 5-1 lead.
A two-run, third-inning single pulled the Ravens within two, 5-3, and two singles, a passed ball and an error handed Anderson a single run in the fourth.
Vitale led off the bottom of the fifth with a solo home run to make it a 6-4 score, but Anderson pulled ahead after three straight singles and a triple, knocking in three runners in the top of the seventh for a 7-6 lead.
