Biography

Career: Is 45-21 with a 2.10 ERA in 79 appearances … Has thrown 46 complete games in 60 starts, striking out 281 and walking just 22 in 421.0 innings … Is third in Pioneer history in career strikeouts and tied for fourth in saves (three).

2011: Ranked 10th in the conference and first on the team with a 1.92 earned-run average, posting a 14-5 record (fifth in conference in wins) in 134.2 innings of work (fifth in NJAC) … Tossed 16 complete games in 20 starts (24 appearances), and recorded one save … Struck out 60 batters (10th in league) and walked just seven … Was second in WP history in fewest walks (0.36 walks/seven innings, seventh in Division III) … Finished tied for fifth in conference statistics with 27 batters struck out looking … Struck out a season-high six batters in a 6-2 win against Rutgers-Camden (4/9/11) and again during a 7-2 victory at New Jersey City (4/15/11) … Tossed 8.0 innings in a 5-4 win over Skidmore (3/15/11), allowing just three earned runs and striking out five.

2010: Posted team bests of a 2.13 earned-run average and 15 wins in 29 appearances (22 starts) … Tossed 151.1 innings, striking out 124 batters and walking nine while throwing 17 complete games … In the NJAC stats, was first in appearances, fifth in innings pitched, and tied for fifth in wins and strikeouts … Her nine walks tied for the third-lowest total in Pioneer history, and she was second in Division III in fewest walks/seven innings (0.42) … Posted a 2.05 ERA in conference play in 12 appearances … Tossed 8.0 strong innings during a 2-1 victory against No. 20 Rowan May 1, allowing only three hits … Struck out a career-high nine hitters twice – during a 6-4 win against Wilkes (3/28/10) and a 13-9 victory at Rutgers-Camden (4/24/10) … Allowed one hit over 6.0 innings against Adrian (3/13/10) … Was named the ECAC Metro Pitcher of the Week (March 30) and the NJAC Pitcher of the Week (March 29).

2009: Quickly became the Pioneers’ number-one pitcher as a freshman, posting a 16-5 record and a 2.23 earned-run average … Struck out 97 hitters and walked just six in 135.0 innings … Those six walks were a new single-season record for any Pioneer pitcher who threw at least 65.0 innings, and ranked second in Division III in fewest walks/game (0.31) … Also had two saves in 26 appearances (18 starts, 13 complete games, two shutouts) … Four times was named the NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week (March 16, March 30, April 27, May 4) … In the NJAC statistics, was third in wins, tied for third in saves, tied for fifth in appearances, sixth in innings pitched, ninth in strikeouts and tied for ninth in starts … Was a member of the NCAA Tournament Mahwah First Round All-Tournament Team after posting a 2-1 record and a 1.93 ERA in five appearances (four starts, 29.0 innings pitched, 14 strikeouts, zero walks) … In regular-season conference play, was 9-2 with a 2.16 ERA, and during the NJAC Tournament she was 2-0 with a 2.69 earned-run average … Tossed complete-game one-hit victories against Montclair State (5-0, 4/14/09) and Kean (3-0, NJAC Tournament, 4/28/09) … Struck out a season-high eight hitters three times … Her 4.1 innings of shutout relief helped the Pioneers eliminate No. 15 Rowan, 7-6, in the NJAC Tournament (5/2/09) … Her infield grounder allowed teammate Meghan Reilly to beat the throw to the plate and tie the score in the sixth inning … Again defeated Rowan, this time allowing one unearned run and three hits in 7.0 innings, in a 2-1 NCAA Tournament victory (5/8/09).

Prior to William Paterson: A three-time all-Passaic County and all-league selection at Hawthorne H.S., she throws a change-up that was, according to The Record (N.J.), the “most devastating pitch in North Jersey” in 2008 ... Was named a first-team all-area pick as a senior, finishing 17-9 with 256 strikeouts and a 0.57 ERA as she led the Bears to a Passaic County Tournament runner-up finish ... Posted 19 wins, a 0.59 ERA and 269 strikeouts as a junior in 2007 ... Won three consecutive BPSL championships ... Was 21-2 as a sophomore while recording a 0.53 ERA and 215 strikeouts ... A Spanish and National Honor Society member ... Played with the Wayne Wildcats and attended the 2006 Pony Nationals.

Academics: Member of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society … A member of the Honors College … A Fall 2009, Fall 2010, Spring 2011 and Fall 2011 Dean’s List student … A member of the 2009-10 and 2010-11 NJAC All-Academic Honorable Mention Teams … Majoring in English and accounting.
