WAYNE, N.J. – Seniors
Kylie Anthony (Methuen, Mass./Methuen),
Hailey Backo (Wallington, N.J./Wallington) and
Lilah Guthy (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg), along with sophomore
Stephanie Ciravolo (Marlboro, N.J./Marlboro), were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Softball Team May 26.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's days of competition with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution. No student-athlete is eligible until they have completed one full calendar year at their current institution and is at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
Anthony, a medicine and exercise physiology double major, made 22 appearances in the circle while compiling a 1.32 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 42.1 innings of work.
Backo, an all-conference honoree, started all 39 games, recording a .403 batting average, .444 on-base percentage and .690 slugging percentage with 52 hits, 19 doubles, four home runs, three triples, 51 RBI and 37 runs scored as a marketing major.
Guthy made 16 starts in 17 appearances inside the circle, logging eight wins and 44 strikeouts in 74.2 innings pitched. At the plate, the physical education major posted a .314 batting average with 33 hits, three doubles, 19 RBI and 17 runs scored.
Ciravolo started 26 of 30 games played, finishing with a .338 batting average and .420 on-base percentage with 24 hits, five doubles, 14 runs scored and 10 RBI while double-majoring in early childhood education and disability studies.
