Men's Soccer's Two Early Goals Lead to Win at Arcadia

Pioneers Defeat Knights 2-0 Behind Goals from Pipitone, Ferrer

Junior Ambrogio Pipitone scored his team-leading fifth goal of the year in a 2-0 win at Arcadia.

GLENSIDE, PA. – Junior Ambrogio Pipitone (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) and sophomore Anthony Ferrer (Lake Hiawatha, N.J./Parsippany) each scored during the first 20 minutes of the match as William Paterson (5-1-1) won at Arcadia (3-3-1), 2-0, Sept. 16.

Ferrer flicked a pass to Pipitone from the top of the 18 less than 10 minutes in, putting the Pioneers up 1-0 in the rain-soaked match. Junior Ryan Miller's (Colonia, N.J./Colonia) cross found Ferrer for the insurance goal in the 20th minute.

Pioneer senior goalkeeper Dan Peragallo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick) had one save, while senior Knight keeper Jeff Kratohwill made five stops.

William Paterson will begin New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play Saturday, Sept. 19, with a home match against Rutgers-Camden at 4:00 p.m.
