Men’s Soccer Edged by No. 24 Christopher Newport

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The William Paterson men's soccer team (2-2-2) fell short in a road matchup against No. 24 Christopher Newport (3-0-0), 3-0, Sept. 13.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
  • The Captains found the back of the net in the 35th minute for a 1-0 advantage. 
  • Christopher Newport finished off a free kick in the 58th minute, resulting in a 2-0 lead.  
  • In the 80th minute, the Captains extended their lead to three by tacking on one final goal.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 
  • Graduate student Luca Misko (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater Raritan) posted 10 saves in goal.
