Baseball Drops Decision against Keene State

Pioneers Lose 15-1 to Owls

CHANDLER, ARIZ. – The William Paterson baseball team (4-4) dropped a 15-1 decision to Keene State (4-2) at the Greater Phoenix Invitational March 17.

Senior Will Courter (Roseland, N.J./West Essex) led the Pioneers with his 2-for-3 effort at the plate, scoring William Paterson's lone run in the bottom of the first inning after he singled and scored off a Mike Guadango (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands) hit.

Ahead 5-1, Keene State scored seven runs during the fourth inning to take control of the game. Starter Tyler Renner (Matawan, N.J./Matawan Regional) took the loss (0-1), giving up six hits and five earned runs in 1.1 innings.

The Pioneers will play Concordia Wednesday, March 18, at 10:00 a.m. PT at the Greater Phoenix Invitational.
